After-Swim UV Leave-In Detangler is a 7.5 oz vegan leave-in that takes the tangles, knots and frizz out of hair after a swim or a day in the sun, and adds UV protection against sun damage. It is made for swimmers, swim-team kids and anyone whose brush-out after the pool hurts.
Why does hair tangle after swimming and sun?
Chlorinated water strips the oils that coat hair and roughens the cuticle. Roughened strands snag on each other. Salt water adds to it: it pulls moisture out and leaves salt behind. Sun piles more exposure on top, which is why this leave-in carries UV protection.
The Detangler is made for that moment. It leaves hair smooth and manageable, contains vitamins and oils to nourish hair, and is specially formulated to detangle and condition.
Is a leave-in detangler different from conditioner?
A rinse-out conditioner goes down the drain, so it is gone before the comb arrives. A leave-in stays in the hair through the brush-out and out into the sun afterward. Any leave-in conditioner will soften hair. This one is made for swimmers and adds UV protection.
